A big thank you to everyone who made cards and sent donations for the Royal Purple Freedom Blog hop. Together we raised over $300 and nearly 150 cards for the shelter. Congrats to all the winners and heartfelt thanks to the sponsors that allowed me to give so generously!

Just a lil tulle will do

I love to tie bows on my cards using tulle.  Especially when I make them with multiple loops like I did in this one:

This is a birthday card I’ve made for a dear friend of mine whose birthday is coming soon.  Her favorite colors are blue and green and she is EXACTLY what this sentiment says…classy and fabulous.  I ♥ her severe!  The tulle bow has three loops and was tied using my hideously ugly bow board.  I used Spellbinders labels dies (I’m at my sister’s house and have no idea which number they were), Spellbinders Heart Circles and Classic Circles Large and Small.  The butterfly is from the Fundamentals 1 SD Card from Craftwell and the sentiment is from Unity.  The inside reads “You are BOTH” and I used my Teresa Collins stamp maker to make a “BOTH” stamp.  The background paper is K & Company and the card base is Core’dinations and the heart circle die cut is my fave solid core cardstock I get at a LSS.  The other two circles and butterfly are from scraps.

Of the last three projects I’ve posted, only this one was “blog-worthy” IMHO, but I shared the other two anyway.  You’re welcome Ildi!

Bow Challenges

This is another project I wouldn’t have shared if it weren’t for the Ildi.  I hated the bow…I took me several days of tweaking and a really hot glue gun to get it how I wanted it.  This is not the “perfect” or “loved” result but I forgot to take an updated picture!!!!  I’m out of time at the library to tell you everything you need for this project.  The basic gist is standard A2 card size, Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Classic Ovals, ribbon, the bow board, and stamps from My Creative Time.  Wanna keep seeing my creations…be sure you like my fan page as I can share from my phone to that page.  I’m not sure when I’ll make it back to the library and no longer have internet access at home.

“Bee”ing beautiful?

Let me first start by saying that if you hate this project, you can blame my girl Ildi The Craftin Mama!  She and I text on a regular basis and I share a lot of things with her that I don’t share anywhere else.  She loves everything I do.  No really…you can ask her yourself she really does.  Whenever I send a picture to her phone, she always raves about it.  Even if it’s not something that I love.  The project I’m sharing with you in this post is such a project.  I’m not sure I really LOVE anything about it…I don’t typically use the color scheme shown here (I think black and yellow might need to be reserved just for bees), I don’t usually make cards that are this big, and I am really not too excited about the bow.  But…since I took the time to drive to the library and wait patiently for internet access, I’m going to share it with you.

I was telling Ildi how I hadn’t started any of my Craft-It-Forward projects yet because I wanted them be really awesome and lately I’ve been in a funk and creating only what I had to.  This is when she told me that she thinks everything I do is awesome.  Instead of saying thank you like I should have, I simply stated a fact not too many of you know…I pretty much don’t share anything on this blog that I don’t personally LOVE.  I’m gonna work on sharing things I’m not crazy about more often…if for no other reason than just for my girl Ildi.

Supplies Needed:
6 x 12 sheet of paper for card base, score at 6 inches and fold
One solid colored mat measuring 5.75 square
One patterened paper mat measuring 5.5 square
Ribbon (from my stash)
Stickles (Silver)
Die cuts (I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 or 3 and Sunflower)
Stamps (these came from Verve but I don’t remember the set)
Ink (Memento)
Hideously Ugly Bow Board
Adhesive (ATG and foam dots)
Want2Scrap bling for fancy tags

Once you have your supplies, you simply put it all together.  Easy Pease Lemon Squeazy.  Speaking of lemon…the stack I used for patterned paper is from Lemon Flower from DCWV.  The card base is Core’dinations and as are the rest of the black/gray pieces.  The solid yellow is from Colorbok.  What do you think…should I try this color scheme again sometime?

Inspiring Notes

First let me apologize for the quality of the images in this post.  I’m still figuring out the ideal manual settings with my DSLR and lightbox.  This is another project I’ve made for Ranga’s auction on the 20th.  The insides are blank and the stamps used are from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The green and shape and interior white circle is from Spellbinders, the background paper is from the Tattered Time stack from DCWV and the card base is from Core’dinations.  My idea was to create something that could be sent to men or women.  This is a set of 6 that will be put in plastic envelopes/pouches and come with envelopes.

My first Mojo Monday attempt

If you know anything about me, you know that Verve Stamps are my all time favorite brand of stamps.  I love the way they smell, the way they stamp, the incredibly beautiful word art, their customer service and well pretty much everything.  They have a special weekly challenge on Monday’s called Mojo Monday where everyone is invited to play along. The first week of the month there are even prizes too!  This week’s sketch is:

I decided to use this sketch in a very non-traditional way (usually sketch participants make a card) and create another thing for my daughter’s auction.  Here’s my result:

The sentiment is from the Happiness Found set.  I think it’s the perfect phrase for this project, don’t you?  This is an 8 x 10 canvas I painted blue, then added the black ribbon, the background paper is from K & Company and I adhered that to my canvas with mod podge after the paint dried.  I sealed it with a watered down layer of mod podge and let it dry overnight.  The scalloped circles come from Spellbinders and are one of their Grands sets, the smaller blinged out circle is Spellbinders Picot Circles.  The butterfly is from Spellbinders too but I forget which set.  The bling I used are hot fix gems, and the solid paper is from my stash.  If you see shimmer in the paper, it is DCWV and I have no idea who makes the other.

Stay tuned to this space as I have a lot more projects on deck…a baby boy mini, a set of cards, and LOTS more!  We have to raise over $100 so the more the merrier I suppose right?

“Going, Going, Gone…

SOLD!” shouts the auctioneer, right?  I don’t know because the only auctions I’ve been to are the silent type.  Our church does an annual silent auction to help our girls raise money for  Girls Camp.  Translate “Mom gets enlisted to make all kinds of crafty stuff”.  Yep, tis that time.  April 20th is auction night and man do I have my work cut out for me.  My darling Ranga has requested several different toilet paper roll albums, some homemade cards, and pretty much a little of all the crafty things I do to give to the auction.  She even said she’d help make it…her help to date has been one coat of paint on one set of album cores.  YIKES!

So, with the newest school session I’m in the most amazing thing has happened…I learned that waiting until the last-minute isn’t always the best way to go after all.  I’ve been able to work ahead and complete my course assignments in advance which makes for a lot less stress and lots of free time on weekends.  YAY!  This past weekend I worked on this:

One of the requested albums was a baby girl brag book.  Here are the interior pages (be sure to click on them to view them larger):

I have a lot of design elements that can’t be photographed and so I might do a video later on to show off this album.  The stamps used are Verve and one from Fiskars.  Embellishments all came from my stash, paper is K & Company and DCWV plus other random paper from my stash.  Ink is Versafine of course (the best for stamping) and then tulle (lots of tulle) was used to decorate the binder rings used to close it.  Adhesive was score tape and glue gun.

I apologize for how “quiet” I’ve been lately, but you might be glad for that when you see everything I post between now and the 20th!  Till next time!

Take the T out of stick and you got this girl

I’ve slept MAYBE one hour in three days, I’be spent more time in the bathroom in the last week or two than I think I did with ALL of my pregnancies with morning sickness and extra pottying combined.  As of yet, I haven’t shipped any of the cartridges everyone bought.  I will update as soon as they go postal.  Thanks for understanding…and now back to my cot in the bathroom.  Might save some time and energy if I did pull sleep in there I’m tellin’ ya.

The time has come

for me to have theme days here on my blog.   The pages you see in the navigation bar on my blog aren’t actually pages.  They are added blogs.  The are lots of nice parts about this: you can follow any and all of them, they post to FB automatically when I post to them, and I have even MORE storage than ever before (WordPress offers EACH blog 3 GB’s of storage space per blog) and currently I have ummmm like 15 GB’s of storage space.  That should definitely keep me happily posting photos to my blogs for some time.  Anyway…so since I have so many blogs, I am finding it a little difficult to keep them all up…enter theme idea. This “schedule” is subject to change at any time, but may go something like this:

Sundays:  Praise Faithfule post

Mondays:  K Andrew Designs Stamp project (here at Faithfule Creations)

Tuesdays:  Live Faithfule post

Wednesdays:  Eat Faithfule post

Thursdays:  DIY Thursdays…Save Faithfule post

Friday:  Friday Freebie…may post to one or all of my blogs but you won’t know unless you’re subbed to them all lol!

Saturday:  Captured Faithfule post

Now….let’s talk about what each of these blogs are shall we.  You already know THIS blog, Faithfule Creations, features my papercraft creations.  Here’s what you can expect to find on the others…

Captured Faithfule – Photography blog…if I capture it in my lens and consider it worth sharing, it’ll go here (and likely not to FB anymore)

Eat Faithfule - Recipe blog…things we’ve put in our tummies and LOVED

Live Faithfule – Basically a day in my life…or a moment or a….this is basically my journal.

Praise Faithfule - Worship related stuff.  Talks/sermons I’ve liked, talks I’ve given, FHE lessons and activities, Visiting Teaching stuff.  All things gospel…ok not all but most.

Save Faithfule – Things I’ve DIYed.  Right now I’ve posted everything from homemade pure vanilla extract to DIY Febreeze.

So…if you haven’t seen me post here in a while and wonder where I’m at, refer to this schedule and check out the other links above!

They’re touching me

Months ago I created my own personal blog award and called it the ‘You’ve Touched My Heart Award”.  I gave this award to five people initially and want to award a few more people with the honor and, like last time, tell you why.  So, without further adieu here’s the award:

heartaward

Congratulations to Patti, Sherry, Kristal, Heather, and Ildi for being the next recipients of this award.  Here’s why I chose each of them:

1.  Patti from Patti Lynn Creations:  Patti and I became fast friends after she was selected to be on the K Andrew Designs Design Team with me.  We have so much in common and enjoy an almost daily conversation via Facebook.  She has always been so loving and gracious and so kind to me.  She is someone whose friendship I have really come to treasure and I look forward to her creations as much as our conversation.  She is as talented as she is sweet.  Patti my friend, I love you and just want you to know that you have touched my heart in ways I can’t explain but am very grateful for.  Please right-click on the image and save it to your computer to use on your blog if you like!

2.  Sherry from Up or Down They’re Beautiful:  Oh Sherry my friend…what can I say.  Sherry and I also became fast friends after she joined the DT with me.  She is one of the most genuine souls I know.  Totally selfless and always willing to pitch in.  I run the Tuesday Tutorial spot over at Getting Cricky and Sherry was one of the first to sign up for a tutorial and eager to do more to fill in the dates or less to offer others a chance to do a tutorial too.  I’ve never seen someone who gives so genuinely of themselves.  She has offered to be a listening ear during some very dark times I’ve endured recently and is someone I have grown to admire.  Sherry, I love you so much and already miss you being on the DT with me.  I am praying for you continually and hope you will be sure to keep in touch.  Please right-click on the image and save it to your computer to use on your blog if you like!

3.  Next is Kristal from Getting Cricky of course.  I’m sure you all already know why I have given her this award.  Kristal is someone I look up to, respect and admire beyond words.  She is the epitome of grace under pressure and she has always inspired me to be my absolute best.  Even before being selected for her Design Team, I was a huge fan and supporter and will continue to be so should my position on the DT ever end.  I think, if I ever grow up, I might wanna be a lot like Kristal.  Kristal my friend and my soul sister…I hope that you can somehow understand how much of an incredible influence you’ve had on my life.  I love you so much and can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than you!!!  Please right-click on the image and save it to your computer to use on your blog if you like!

4.  Heather from Heather’s Crafty Blog Space:  Heather oh Heather…what on Earth can I POSSIBLY say to you to explain all the ways you have touched my heart.  Heather is yet another DT friend, but I am sure we will be friends whether we have the DT in common or not.  Heather is one of the most positive people I know and she is so empathetic and understanding.  She has really touched my heart with how many of my statuses and posts she has commented on with a tender word or encouraging message.  She, like the others I’ve mentioned, can be relied on to pray for me and somehow just always seems to know when I need to hear or see an encouraging word.  Heather my friend, I adore you and am so glad to have gotten to know you.  Please right-click on the image and save it to your computer to use on your blog if you like!

5.  My lovely Ildi the Craftin’ Mama:  Ildi has the most amazing way of making me feel beautiful.  Even at like 5am on Skype when my hair’s a wreck and there are bags under the bags under my eyes.  Ildi is just my girl.  We’ve never met, we honestly don’t even talk that much on Facebook or Skype or anything really.  This much I know though…Ildi makes me feel like a million bucks on a regular basis with her affirmations of praise and approval of everything I do.  I’m so glad I have you in my life Miss Ildi.  Thank you so much for all that you are and all that you urge me to be by your love and support.   Please right-click on the image and save it to your computer to use on your blog if you like!

Cricut cartridges and supplies for sale – Sales Pending All Cartridges

Currently I have sales pending for ALL the listed cartridges.   If any should fall through will update this post again and open the comments back up.

Because I started storing like the image below (please note this is NOT my box but identical to how I store mine), there was no need to keep the boxes.

I also wrote the cartridge name on the top of most of the cartridges.  Preferred payment is PayPal, but money orders will also be accepted.
