Welcome! If you are hopping along on the right path, you should have arrived here from Beckie’s Blog. If you didn’t arrive here from there, please take a moment to go back to the beginning and start at my good friend Gill’s blog, Creations by Gill M. She is one of the most talented women I know! Today is ALSO her birthday so be sure to leave her some birthday bloggie comment love!
Even though it’s Gill’s birthday, I just wasn’t feeling like anything birthday themed and she DID say anything goes. If you read my blog regularly (or have read it more than once or twice even), then you know that Verve stamps are my all time FAVORITE of favorite’s right? Well, a new contender is in place for that spot. The uber-talented Kristal Andrew has come up with her own stamp line and a portion of the proceeds of EACH set sold are donated to charity. Ridiculously cool right? I know…I know some important people!
Anyway, I just received Kristal’s stamp sets a few days and FINALLY had a chance to play with them. For this project, I used a sentiment from her Positive Thoughts set. I really struggle with pink…even with three girls it’s totally not my favorite color (in fact I kind of shy away from it so don’t even ask me how I wound up signing up for this hop LOL). At any rate, I’m really thrilled with what I created…
Supplies Needed:
A2 Card base 4 x 5.25 background mat (here I used Be Mine paper by Echo Park) Lace Ribbon Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendants Spellbinders Classic Squares Large Pink Flat Backed Pearls (from ??? bought from Craft Warehouse) Adhesive (ATG, foam squares, scotch tape) Glue Gun (with glue duh) Scraps for Spellbinders cuts (stash, Be Mine collection, Colorbok) Stamps (Positive Thoughts by Kristal Andrew) Ink (Tim Holtz Black Distress Ink) Mulberry Flower (I Am Roses)
I nested the fleur de lis pendants with some classic squares, stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in black, and adhered the piece to my background paper from Echo Park. I then added some lace and a bow tied with my hideously ugly bow board and hot glued a flower in the middle. Eazy peazy lemon squeazy. I’m so sorry but I’m so far behind on getting blog candy out, I don’t have any to offer for this hop. If you don’t want to comment on my project for that reason, don’t worry I won’t ever know lol!
Your next stop along this hop is Valerie from Canonbury Creations. She is wicked talented so you will definitely want to make sure you check her out! As usual, if you get lost along the way, you can check out all the For the love of PINK participants below:
